# Google Drive

> Connect Google Drive so agents and workflows can upload, find, and manage files and folders.

**Connection type:** Credential

Connect Google Drive to SubVerse. Your Functions and Orchestrations can upload and download files, create and move folders, search for documents, and share them. A change in Drive can also start an orchestration.

## What you can do

| Capability | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Upload and download files** | Save a recording, document, or customer upload to Drive, or fetch one back. |
| **Create and organise** | Create folders, move files between them, and update file details. |
| **Search** | Find files and folders, so an agent can answer from a document. |
| **Share files** | Give someone access to a file as part of a workflow. |
| **React to changes** | Start an orchestration when something changes in Drive, such as a new file in a folder. |

## Credential types

| Credential type | Best for |
| - | - |
| **Google Drive Service Account** | Most connections. You share only the files and folders it should reach, so its access is limited to exactly those. |
| **Google Drive OAuth2 API** | Working with a person's own Drive, where sharing each file isn't practical |

## What you'll need

* A Google account with access to the files you want to use
* A Google Cloud project, to create the credentials
* Permission to enable APIs and create credentials in that project
